BCTBA proudly introduces the Southside Woman of the Year Award 2024, honouring exceptional women and femme non-binary individuals for their outstanding leadership, innovation, and community dedication. Candidates will be evaluated based on criteria such as significant impact in their field, active contribution to community betterment, inspiring mentorship, commitment to diversity, and overcoming professional challenges.
This award, a symbol of appreciation, aims to inspire others by showcasing remarkable role models, fostering empowerment, and recognizing diverse talents dedicated to community improvement. The winner receives a trophy, certificate, and the opportunity to share their story, celebrating women who embody leadership and positive impact in the Southside community and beyond.
Award Overview:
Candidates will be evaluated based on specific criteria, including a significant impact in their respective fields, active contribution to community betterment, inspiring mentorship, commitment to diversity, and the ability to overcome professional challenges. The award symbolizes appreciation and seeks to inspire by highlighting remarkable role models dedicated to community improvement.

Nomination Process:
1. The nomination period is open from March 8, 2024, to May 3, 2024.
2. Nominations can be submitted online through the official award website or in person at designated collection points.
3. Nominators are required to provide detailed information about the nominee, including their achievements, contributions, and reasons for nomination.
Review and Selection:
1. A panel of distinguished judges, including respected individuals from the community and business sector, will meticulously review all nominations.
2. Judges will assess each nominee based on the established criteria and shortlist finalists for further consideration.
3. Finalists may be required to provide additional information or attend an interview with the judging panel.
Winner Announcement:
1. Winners will be announced on our website www.Southsidedistrict.co.uk on the 23rd May 2024.
2. The winner will receive a trophy, certificate, prizes, and the opportunity to share their story and inspire others.
Application Process:
1. Individuals can either nominate someone else or submit their own application for the award. You can view the details of this award via https://www.southsidedistrict.co.uk/stories . All applications and enquiries to be emailed to southsidewomanoftheyear@gmail.com .
2. Self-nominations must be accompanied by letters of recommendation or endorsements from other individuals attesting to the nominee's qualifications.
3. All nominations and applications must be submitted by the May 3, 2024, deadline to be considered for the Southside Woman of the Year Award 2024.
This meticulous process is designed to recognize and celebrate women who exemplify the spirit of leadership, inspiration, and positive impact in the Southside community and beyond.
