Southside was nominated for this year’s Lord Mayors Awards and whilst we didn’t win, we were delighted to see local Chinatown businesswoman Dr Dorian Chan receive Entrepreneur of the Year Award and listen to her speech below;

“I am deeply honored and humbled to receive this prestigious Lord Mayor’s Entrepreneur of The Year Award. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the selection committee for recognizing the hard work and dedication that has gone into building our businesses.

I would like to thank my team, who have been my pillars of strength and have supported me every step of the way. Their commitment, passion, and relentless pursuit of excellence have been instrumental in our success.

I am also grateful to my mentors, advisors, and supporters who have guided me, inspired me, and believed in me even when times were tough. Their wisdom and encouragement have been invaluable on this entrepreneurial journey.

I share this award with every entrepreneur out there who is tirelessly pursuing their dreams, overcoming challenges, and making a difference in the world. Let this be a reminder that with perseverance, resilience, and a clear vision, anything is possible.

I am truly blessed to be part of such a vibrant and dynamic entrepreneurial community, and I look forward to continuing to innovate, grow, and contribute to the collective success of our industry.
