MYTHOS OPENS IN THE ARCADIAN CENTRE

Mythos Taverna is now open! Located opposite the Hippodrome Theatre, Mythos is on a bold mission to bring the true flavour and spirit of Greece to Birmingham, serving authentic dishes from across Greece and its beautiful islands.

The site within the Arcadian has been transformed into a beautiful rustic Mediterranean style restaurant, including a beautiful heated terrace, bedecked with deep red flowers and overlooking theatre square.

Greek hospitality is synonymous with family dining; laughter around the table and a huge variety of 'mezze' dishes to pick from. Priced from £4.50, choose from a range of small plates, including Dolmades (Vine leaves filled with aromatic rice and mince lamb) and spiced Falafel, Spanokopita (Spinach and feta stuffed filo pastry parcels), Kolokythokeftedes (courgette fritters with a melted feta centre) and Soutzoukaia (Aromatic beef meatballs from Smyrna with a rich tomato sauce).

Head Chef Sylvia Grigore has had 12 years training in Athens followed by 5 years at London's oldest Greek restaurant. Everything is made from scratch on site, such as the hummus dips, taramosalata, tzatziki and Melitzanosalata and the famous Greek feta salad.

General Manager Gabriel Grigore, Sylvia’s husband, who runs the 105-seater restaurant says: "We are very excited to finally come out of lockdown and offer the public something new and exciting. I assure you won't have seen quality and hospitality like this.

“When restrictions are fully lifted in June, we can't wait to have live music and dancing. Stini Geia Sas! Cheers to all!”
