DISCOVER SOUTHSIDE’S COLOUR PALETTE

Following the success of his first Birmingham Colour Palette print, artist Stacey Barnfield has created three new prints which celebrate Southside District’s landmarks.

Featuring all our favourite spots, including the Arcadian, Birmingham Hippodrome, The Nightingale Club and more, these prints are currently available in either large (50x40cm) or small (40x30cm) and are the perfect addition to the home of any Southside fans.

For every purchase, £5 will go towards the HIV memorial campaign, led by Garry Jones. Garry was inspired by hit drama ‘It’s a Sin’ to start a fund for a memorial in Southside District to honour all those affected by AIDs and HIV.

Garry commented: “It is really gratifying and humbling that people from all walks of life see the AIDS & HIV Memorial as an important part of our community’s history, which could have so easily been forgotten.

“It’s wonderful to see the community coming together to “make the memorial happen”. Many talented people are giving their time and creativity in order for us to raise the funds we need.

“The fund would like to say a big thank you to Stacey Barnfield for the generous contribution from each sale of the Southside Colour Palette Prints, every purchase is a step closer to the memorial becoming a reality.”

Garry has been commissioned by Southside District to produce his own artwork as part of the fundraising effort.

The artwork is titled Hearts & Souls and it symbolises a diverse community of people coming together around a heart shaped ribbon to remember the importance of spreading love and compassion to those who have lost loved ones to AIDS, and to those living with HIV today.
